Laser Weapon System

National News: India is soon going to be equipped with a technology that was seen only in Hollywood's science fiction films. The Indian Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is working on a state -of -the -art laser weapon system, which will demolish the enemy's drones, missiles and fighter aircraft in an eye.

Successful testing from 30 kW beam

DRDO recently tested a laser truck -based weapon system in the Chandipur range of Odisha, using a 30 kW laser beam. This beam made the target located 3.5 km to ashes in seconds. This experiment is considered to be a major milestone in the defense sector of India.

Fighter jets and missiles will fall from 80-100 kW beam

Experts believe that if India develops a laser beam from 80 to 100 kW, this weapon will be able to pile any enemy fighter aircraft and missiles in the air itself. This will make India's air defense system impregnable.

The world already in the race for laser war

  • America: 55 kW laser system deployed in the Navy.
  •
  • China: 37 kW mobile laser armed.
  •
  • Israel: Develop powerful laser systems against missiles and rocket attacks.

India's jump, step towards self -sufficiency

This technology of India is not just a jump towards modernity, but a concrete step towards self -sufficient India. In the coming years, the Indian Army will have such a weapon that will change the rules of traditional war.

DRDO chief claim

According to DRDO chief Sameer V. Kamat, India is soon on the verge of achieving "Technology like Star Wars". He said that the strength of laser weapons will increase the firepower of the army manifold.
